Insurance Coverage

In the unlikely event of damage incurred by Fort Moving, items will be replaced or repaired within the shortest possible time subject to the limits of the coverage described herein: All shipments are subject to the National Bill of Lading released rate for this industry unless additional coverage is declared and a premium paid. Client shipments are valued at $0.60 per lb per article (ie a 200lb desk is covered for 200lbs x $0.60 per lb = $120.00) This is very basic coverage and comes at no extra cost to the consumer.
For additional protection, up to the replacement value of items to cover physical damage, clients should declare the full value of their shipment and there would be an additional cost of $3.00 per $1,000.00 of declared value (ie a shipment worth a total of $20,000 divided by $1,000 x $3,00 per $1,000 = $60.00). If additional protection is desired, please advise Fort Moving as to the amount required. There is a minimum charge of $45.00 for this additional coverage.
Total value on any truck should be limited to $100,000 or less. So if there are any items of extraordinary value, please point them out to the moving representative.
